This lesson is on the theme of exploitation with regards to the unit of Human Rights and Social Justice. The pupils will be able to describe what is meant by exploitation. To explain the exploitation of the poor including issues relating to fair pay, excessive interest on loans and human trafficking, and evaluate religious attitudes to victims of exploitation. This lesson covers the attitudes of Christianity and Islam. This 50 minute lesson includes: Starter and Plenary. Oracy/disucssion tasks. Several video tasks based on exploitation, human trafficking, and recognising the signs. Statistic summary task. This lesson introduces ideas about the topic of Crime and Punishment. The pupils will have to consider what the terms ‘crime’ and ‘punishment’ mean. They will be able to sescribe some of the causes of crime, and explain Christian and Muslim attitudes to lawbreakers. This 50 minute lesson includes: Differentiated tasks. Analysis.
